How to Reach

Mussoorie is easily reachable by air, bus, or train. The nearest airport Jolly Grant has located 60 km from the hill station. Lal Tibba

Located 8000 meters above the ground, it houses one of the ancient civilizations of India. The peak is located adjacent to a depot of Indian Military service, known as the ‘Landour’. You’ll get the best view of the Himalayan peaks using a telescope that is installed in a tower named ‘Doordarshan’. The sunrise and sunset scenarios at the Lal Tibba are simply out of this world! If you are on a family trip, make sure you visit the Cider’s Lodge, which is an ideal picnic spot. Unlike other picnic arrangements, you won’t find any fancy restaurants or restrooms here. Therefore, you’ll be able to enjoy the rawness of nature to the fullest. If you are into a collection of souvenir items, you can visit some of the nearby shops. The hill is located just 4.5 kilometers from the city center. So, you can go either on foot or hire a cab.

Waterfalls

Mussoorie is famous worldwide for its magnificent waterfalls. Kempty Falls, Jharipani Falls, and Bhatta Falls are some of the noteworthy ones.

Kempty Falls is the most famous waterfall of Mussoorie. The crystal clear water, cool weather, mesmerizing natural beauty allures huge number of tourists every year. If you wish, you can take a dip into the cool and clear water. Located just 15 km away from Mussoorie it is very popular among newly married couples and honeymooners.

A 6 km walk downhill of Mussoorie will take you to the amazing Jharipani Falls. Located near the Jharipani village, it has a great picnic spot to enjoy family holidays. Like; the story behind the naming of the place. Prior to the independence of India, a gun was mounted on the top which was fired at midday so that people can adjust their clocks. Since then, it has been known as the Gun hills.

The Mall

For any tourist, visiting the Mall of Mussoorie is a must. Located at an elevation of 2000 meters from the sea level, Mall road offers you a great view of the Mountains. Ornate lampposts, benches, and colonial-style architectures give it a very vintage look. If you want to collect souvenirs, you can visit a series of small shops standing on both sides of Mall Road. You can also try the local foods. But, prior to food tasting, you are advised to consult your personal tour guide. Because nobody wants to catch a stomach bug while they are on the roads.

Company Garden

The colorful flowers full of aroma, surrounding beauty and an artificial waterfall makes the Company Garden one of the most beautiful gardens in India. A 3-kilometer walk from the city center will take you to this exotic garden. It has a very famous picnic spot, which is ideal for family tours.
