Montenegro tour - Kotor & Budva
With a population of a smaller European’s city suburb (650.000), Montenegro is an enchanting little country full of extreme geographical diversities.
Great mountains with snow peaks, steep fiord-like hills almost vertically diving into the Adriatic sea,mountain lakes full of fish, mystical monasteries carved in the solid rock, sandy and sunny beaches that go on for miles alongside the coast….
Tour starts by driving South alongside Adriatic coast to the border with Montenegro. As we cross the border and drive alongside the Kotor bay we enter the Bay of Kotor, one of the most enchanting bays in Europe. Our first stop will be in Perast where we will take the boat to take us to one of two small islets, Lady of the Rocks or Gospa od Škrpjela. Small, artificial islet with the great story. At the very bottom of the bay, well protected by high mountains lies the city of Kotor.
Upon arrival to Kotor we will meet our local guide who will take us for a stroll down the narrow streets and tell us the stories about the palaces and churches. After the visit do not skip the visit to the open air market that will amaze you with the colors, smells and great taste of whatever you decide to try.
Our next visit will be to Budva – one of the oldest cities in the whole Adriatic, with charming 16. ct. Center, and marina for megayachts – today being top tourist destination for younger travelers with all the fun it offers.
