Kaindy Lake - it is amazing sunken forest which was frozen under the cold mountain water. The lake is only 130 kilometers from Almaty, however, even in spite of such proximity to the city, to get to Lake Kaindy you should be ready for off-road adventures on very rough terrain.
One day trip need to start earler in the morning at 7am. It takes 4 hours in one direction by car. Need to take lunch boxes. There it is a light trekking to the Lake near of 2,5 hours.
