Fatima

Fatimy nie trzeba pewnie przedstawiać – to jedno z najsłynniejszych sanktuariów w Europie, znane dzięki objawieniom maryjnym, które zdarzyły się niecałe 100 lat temu. To idealna okazja do modlitwy i wyciszenia. Ale Fatima to nie tylko miejsce dla nabożnych pątników – w końcu wszyscy jesteśmy częścią tego chrześcijańskiego dziedzictwa. Sanktuarium jest też istnym świadectwem kulturowym, gdzie możemy poczuć wielką gorliwość Portugalczyków i obserwować takie kurioza jak np. palenie wotów w kształcie narządów, które mają być, za wstawiennictwem Matki Boskiej uzdrowione. Zwiedzamy również Aljustrel – wioskę, w której urodziły się dzieci, a następnie na miejscu objawień mamy czas wolny na modlitwę i odpoczynek. W programie również degustacja porto w lokalnej winiarni.

There is probably no need to introduce Fatima - it is one of the most famous worship places in Europe, which has built its name on Marian apparitions which took place over 100 years ago. This is a perfect opportunity for a prayer and relaxation. Nevertheless, Fatima is not only the place for devotional pilgrims but also for everyone of us - since we all are a part of Christian heritage. In the Sanctuary you can feel and observe Portuguese zeal and go deep inside some curious cultural phenomena like e.g. burning organ-shaped votives in order to cure their bodily equivalents. Moreover, we head to Aljustrel - the tiny hamlet where the children of Fatima were born - and, at the end of a day we pay a visit to a local winery for tasting not only delicious porto but also some traditional liquers.
