10 Days Classic Mongolian Tour
Mongolia's landscape is characterised by mountains in the north and west, the Gobi Desert in the south and vast steppes in between. It experiences harsh, cold winters and very short summers, so riding holidays are only really possible from June to September. Horses are still central to life in the country so an equestrian vacation in Mongolia is just as much a cultural experience as an equine experience. The horses are the small and stocky native breed and the rides are camping or ger based, usually moving on each night with a support crew. South Gobi and Kharkhorin! Indeed, this itinerary could be classified as CLASSIC by presenting true essence of Mongolian nature and culture with visits to hospitable nomad settlement, active Buddhist monasteries, historical sites and natural parks. Nature along this tour will be changing dramatically: from the golden dunes of Gobi to the open green valleys dotted with wild flowers, from vast plain steppes, to a great waterfall. In order to make this classic trip more active, we have added 3 days horse riding activities in places where it is most preferable - Naiman Nuur National Park.
