OVERVIEW

Get a close-up look at the World-famous Victoria Falls, one of the original natural wonders for the world.

Zimbabwe’s biggest Game Reserve, the Hwange National Park, is known for large packs of African Wild Dog and herds of Elephant.

Big cats are often seen in Hwange and the reserve also proves to be a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species.

Landscapes in the Hwange National Park include grassland, granite outcrops, desert sand and sparse woodland.

This short tour combines the wildlife of Hwange, the adventures of Victoria Falls, a visit to the Monde Primary School and Sizinda Secondary school, community project, with the culture of local communities.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL AT VICTORIA FALLS AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO ACCOMODATION OR ARRIVAL AT LIVINGSTONE AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO ACCOMODATION IN VICTORIA FALLS.

A visit to the Victoria Falls is the highlight of the day included in your package. The tour of the falls would take 2.5 hours. Thereafter you have quite a variety of optional activities you can choose from as listed in the activity’s column. The time you can visit the falls can be changed to suit the optional activities you would want to do. Depending on your schedule with your guide you can arrange an appropriate time for your lunch.

You will probably be back from your activities shortly after 18H00. Your Guide would take you back to your accommodation and you prepare for dinner out in the exotic town of Victoria Falls for a taste of local dishes while enjoying cultural music and dance. A night out with the locals would be an unforgettable experience you might want to explore besides [TIA] This is Africa.

DAY 2

Today is a day to mix and mingle with the locals to learn about the culture of the people of the Zambezi Region.

Soon after breakfast shortly before 09H00 you head first to Monde primary school to meet learners and teachers. You have a chance to learn about the education system as you play also with young students. After Monde primary school you visit Sizinda Secondary school to explore the tree planting project they have in collaboration with Enviromentalbuddieszimbabwe a nongovernmental organisation spearheading the fight for climate change in this region. After the schools visit you break shortly for lunch.

After midday you will visit the local community where the chief or Headmen would take you through some highlights of the traditions and culture of the local people. They will take you also through the village tour and the Arts market established by the locals in the villages.

By 15H00 you would be back in town at your accommodation, but you can still do the Township tour on bicycles as an option for the rest of the day.

Otherwise we meet Again for dinner at a different venue to yesterday before we go clubbing again.

DAY 3

Today we head to Hwange National Park shortly after 08H00 just after breakfast. The drive is about 2.5hours long. You stop shortly in Hwange Town to buy snacks and drinks for your game drive for the next two days. Before you get to the Hwange main camp you visit the Wild dog sanctuary for just an hour.

You check in at Hwange Main camp and have lunch. After lunch you head for your afternoon Game drive on open 4x4 vehicles until sun set. Take a camera and binoculars with you should be a good time for safari.

After the Game drive dinner is served. There is a chance to go to a local waterhole and relax over a drink while observing nocturnal animals that may come to the waterhole. After 22H00 you may go back to your accommodation.

DAY 4

Early morning game drives in the Hwange national park. Tea and coffee are served before the game drive or during the game drive. After game drive at around 9:30am to 10am you will have your full breakfast. It is the best time to see the big cats like lions, leopard and cheater. Late in the afternoon you will embark on afternoon game drive. Dinner is provided at the main camp.

DAY 5

After breakfast at 08H00 we head back to Victoria Falls for a drive of 2.5 hours. Transfer to your accommodation is provided and /or your transfer to the Victoria falls airport for your departure flight.
