Big Almaty Lake is located 28.5km south of Almaty up a gorge of the Bolshaya Almatinka River, 2,511m above sea level. The mountains, Sovetov to the southeast, Ozyorny to the south and Turist to the southwest form a backdrop on all sides to the lake, producing some spectacular reflections, changing colour throughout the seasons.The lake itself is about 1km wide and 1.6 km long, with a depth of about 40mtrs.
I offer 4-hours trip to Big Almaty Lake including small waterfall not far from the lake,walking in "Sunkar" falcon factory,falcon show (1 hour and 1900 tenge extra per person).
