Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel: A Private half day experience without line: skiptheline tickets available but not included!
A half day at the Vatican is a three/three and a half hours tour. I'll wait for you by the entrance of the museums with your skip the line reservation, give you a very good historical and artistic introduction (we'll seat in a nearby coffee shop and talk, also using some of my books to show you what later you'll see inside) then we'll start the visit
The Vatican requires modest attire and no back-packs inside. We'll have to pass through Metal Detectors so no scissors or swiss-kind knifes.
Later we'll exit by St Peter's Basilica and I'll guide you inside.
We'll see and enjoy the major works of art: the Painting Gallery, with works of Giotto, Leonardo, Caravaggio and Raphael, Raphael's Rooms (once the private apartment s of Pope Giulio II) and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's, Botticelli and many other top artists' immortal frescoes. In St. Peter's the masterpieces of Michelangelo (Pieta) and Gianlorenzo Bernini (Twisting bronze columns, various tombs and the amazing Colomnade)
