The Asni Valley is just an hour's drive from the city of Marrakech. It is a valley which displays the beauty and purity of a still largely intact nature and it offers a haven of calm after the tumult of Marrakech. To reach this valley, we will cross landscapes with infinite nuances.
This village does not present any particular interest but it marks the moment of the choice between continuing straight towards Marigha, Ouirgane and Tizi n'Test or forking towards Imlil and Jebel Toubkal, the highest point of the Atlas.
Imlil is a small village at 1740 meters altitude in the Atlas. It is located near Djebel Toubkal at 4167 meters, the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa.
This charming little mountain village is the point of passage for all hikers who wish to undertake the 4167 m of Mount Toubkal. Located 64 km from Marrakech.
It is also a gateway to the beautiful Toubkal National Park. Created in 1942 and covering an area of 38 000 ha, this park offers the possibility to make superb hikes.
