Annapurna circuit trek
Trekking the Annapurna Circuit Trail begins from the lower Annapurna region. The Marshyangdi River valley and the mixed communities are the base of the trek. Cascading waterfalls, sub-tropical forests and the streams increase the charm of the trek. As the trek leads you through the Manang region, the Tibetan Buddhist settlements begin to appear. The real adventure begins once you reach to Phedi via cattle grazing meadows. Crossing the Thorong La Pass is a real thrill, especially when coming into contact with the slippery rocky slope. The high pass offers the the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna 1st (8091m) Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna II, Mt. Annapurna III, Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Fishtail, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche peak, and Tilicho peak. The trek then leads you to the famous Muktinath temple, which is a pilgrimage destination of the Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Then, the trek goes through the Kaligandaki Gorge and ends in Nayapul via Ghorepani Poon Hill.
