If you already know the historical side of Quito, the modern city and its surroundings and want to go beyond being part of conventional tourism, we encourage you to be part of this Quito tour. We have designed this tour so that you can feel like a genuine Quiteño and visit the places that a city dweller normally goes to. This tour has special places in a neighborhood called "La Floresta" a colorful, artistic and bohemian neighborhood that is full of entrepreneurship and new proposals. Thanks to this tour you will be able to get to know a neighborhood that goes outside the rules because it is the only place where it is allowed to make graffitis on white walls and transform them into great pieces of art.

We will begin our tour in the Ocho y Medio, a place where there is national and international independent cinema, it also works as a cultural center in which the launching of new musical, theatrical and cinematographic proposals are exposed, if there are not many people we can enter the rooms where the musicalization of the plays are live most of the time.

Afterwards we will be able to see murals by local artists and observe second hand clothing businesses, a botanical coffee shop, among others.

During the tour we will be part of the old urban legends of La Floresta, a neighborhood highly influenced by the Second World War and all the people from different countries who came to stay and inhabit it. After that we will visit the workshop of a unique craftsman, Jose Lluminga has lived in the neighborhood of Guapulo for over 5 decades and exhibits his art pieces to the public, also in August month of the arts, he provides free workshops to those who will visit him, thanks to his simplicity and charisma he manages to steal the hearts of those who visit him.

Finally to complement this magical and alternative way to visit our beautiful city we will visit a traditional place where for only a dollar you can taste the authentic tortillas de maíz de tiesto of the area in order to delight the palates of our new Quito friends. To close with a flourish, we will visit the famous "Parque Navarro" or the well known "Tripas de la Vicentina" this is the paradise of the local flavors of the Andean highlands, delight yourself with all the wide range of authentic flavors that our city has to offer, you can find vegetarian options as well.
