Quito City Tour: Basílica del Voto Nacional+ Centro Histórico + Panecillo
Enjoy a unique experience! We invite you to enjoy the largest and best preserved historic center in South America. Discover it with us and start your day visiting the Basilica Church of Voto Nacional, where we will make a brief stop for an explanation of its facade and history, then we will move to the Historic Center named by UNESCO as the first World Heritage Site in 1978, we will continue our exciting journey to the Plaza de San Francisco, one of the representative places of the city and full of history, from where we will arrive at the Plaza Grande, historical and political place of the city, surrounded by countless attractions among which are: The Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the Church of the Company.
Later we will head to the traditional neighborhood of La Ronda, recognized as the oldest street in the city of Quito, in whose bohemian environment we can find workshops where our friends will learn about how artisans elaborate their works of art and crafts to keep traditions alive.
Also in this emblematic street, you will have the opportunity to visit an ice cream shop where you can find very traditional flavors of Ecuador not only of fruits but also interesting flavors of traditional drinks.
After visiting this endearing place we will advance and climb the hills to visit the viewpoint of Panecillo / Shungoloma, an iconic place of the city, recognized for its beauty, where there is a giant statue of the "Winged Virgin", where you can admire a beautiful landscape of colonial and modern Quito, our tour guides will tell you the importance of this ancient mountain and one of its most famous legends, you can also taste traditional food and the famous canelazos.
At the end of the tour you will be able to visit an exclusive handicraft store of Ecuadorian producers from different cultures of the country, and return to the hotel on your own or have free time for lunch (not included) in the Zona Rosa of the city known as La Mariscal, to continue in the afternoon optionally with our excursions: "Authentic Tour of the Middle of the World" or "Authentic Markets & Chapel of Man" or "Quito Food and Street Art" or "Quito Urban Legends at Night", and learn in depth why Quito was the first city in the World to be declared a World Heritage Site.
