My name is Solomon Kidane. I was born in the lower Omo called Jinka. I have been working in tourism for the past 10 years both historical, nature and cultural place in Ethiopia but specialized in lower Omo valley peoples and its fauna and flora.
Omo valley, the home of 17 tribes and a vast tract of true wilderness, is one of the last left in Africa. It is a veritable paradise for photographers and naturalists. This region is virtually unexplored and unspoiled since the beginning of history; Rich in human prehistory, archaeologists have unearthed what may be the remains of earliest human being on earth. The Omo valley has contributed to the existence of large numbers of wildlife of a great variety. living with different culture and way of life style and each of the tribe has its own significant ceremonies which is held during the year like bull jumping in hammer , Keall(fatting ceremony) in Bodi , donga (stick fight in Mursi) and other. Besides, there is a different market day of which tribe comes to sale and buys goods.
