На нашей экскурсии Вы узнаете об еврейских обрядах и праздниках, услышите еврейскую религиозную музыку в самом неожиданном исполнении. Мы пройдем по темным улочкам Старого города, где соберутся тысячи верующих. Увидите молитву у Стены Плача. Посетим гору Сион и могилу царя Давида, стены царя Хизкиягу, Геену Огненую, где вещали еврейские пророки против человеческих жертвоприношений идолам. Увидим древние могилы 8-го века до нашей эры и стены Султана Сулеймана. Зайдем в Старый Город через Сионские ворота и поднимемся на его крыши, откуда видна Храмовая Гора. Узнаем о жизни Рабби Акивы и царя Давида, поступки которых до сих пор влияют на судьбы евреев всего мира. Экскурсии проводятся по заявкам

Slichot – days of mourning, quiver and repentance

Every year, at early fall a month before the Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur (Judgment Day) , the Jews are engaged in self-flagellation, self-analysis and pray for forgiveness from the Almighty for the sins of the last year. At night they wake up for a special, penitential Slichot prayer…

On this tour you will find out everything about the Jewish traditions and holidays and listen to jewish religious music in the most unexpected performance.

Itinerary:

• We will gather near the windmill in Mishkenot Sha’ananim neighborhood.

• Stop by the Menachem Begin Museum and see ancient graves from the 8th century B.C.

• We will go down to the Gehenna, where Jewish prophets prophesied against human sacrifices to idols.

• Clime the Zion mountain, where we will visit the grave of David, The Second King of the United Kingdom of Israel, David was the vanquisher in his war with Goliath, a poet and a musician.

• We’ll enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and go up to the roofs of the Jewish quarter, from where you can see the Temple Mount.

• We will walk through the dark alleys of the Old City, where will be gathered thousands of believers. We’ll see the praying near the Western Wall.

• The walls of King Hezekiah, one of the most prominent kings of Judah mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and is one of the kings mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus.

• The walls of Sultan Suleyman, commonly known as Suleiman the Magnificent in the West and the ” Al Kanuni” (the Lawgiver) in the East.

• We will see the Cardo street (cardo means “heart” in Latin)

• We’ll learn about the life of wealthy kings and prophets like Rabbi Akiva and King David, common people, heretics and believers of different religions the actions of whom still affect the fate of Jews all around the world.

The tour is held by request from the 15.08.15 to 21.09.15.

Those with walking difficulties can start the tour at the Zion Gate

Those who want to watch / participate in the Slichot prayer at the Western Wall it’s important to know that the Slichot prayer at the Western Wall occurs between the hours of 00:00-04:00 and so our trip will start around 20:00 – 21:00

For interested in just an evening tour can start at 19.00-19.30

There will be restrooms along the way

It’s important to bring warm clothes and water, you can also bring flashlights

It’s obligatory to bring comfortable shoes
