Prohodna Cave, Saeva dupka and Glozhene monastery
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel or address, for a short drive (1,30 h) in north central Bulgaria where we will explore the scenic natural monument of Prohodna Cave. Known as the Eyes of God, it is the famous attraction in the Karlukovo Gorge, very large karst region in Bulgaria and popular location for speleology and climbing. Formed during the Quaternary, the cave is 262 m long. The phenomenon was featured in the cinema.
After a short car/bus transfer of 25 minutes we will discover the Saeva dupka Cave,, a natural landmark of national importance and access to different attractive karst forms.
For dessert we willl visit the Monastery St George in Glozhene village, according to the legend built in the 13th centuries, with amazing views.
