What you do this weekend? Let's join ride to Kharkhorin, was once a capital city of Great Mongolian Empire during the reign of Chinggis Khaan.

While there is not much see the actual leftovers of the ancient Karakorum, which was burnt and ruined down after the fall of the empire, there is one of the oldest Buddhist Temple called Erdenezuu, built in the 1580s on the remains of the old city to protect it.

Erdenezuu Temple, along with its museum within the fortress, is now big attraction for both local and foreign travelers.

You can stay overnight in a tourist camp nearby Orkhon river valley, maybe your first experience of sleeping in yurt. Following day we start driving back to Ulaanbaatar.

Cost for the ride is US$50 a day without gasoline. You have to pay your own food, accommodation, entrance ticket to museum, park, and cost for activities.
