Pisa, old town

Language English, Italian, Spanish
Price 140,00 EUR for excursion
Capacity 30 persons max
Duration 3 hours

A guided tour of the old town walking through the narrow streets that still keep medieval features and to the open air Lungarni: the path along the river Arno where the lines of the ancient tower houses’ ogival arches weave with the modern lines of the University.

We will arrive in Piazza dei Cavalieri, the square of the knights: ancient order of knights instituted by Cosimo I de Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1561. The square follows a project by Giorgio Vasari.

The palaces and the Romanesque churches will tell us the long story of the city whose origins probably are Etruscan.

Last, but not least, the Miracles square, to end our tour looking at the beautiful armony of the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Leaning Tower of Pisa

(Tickets and radio-earphones not included)
