Drive to Old Jaffa, the vibrant old port city and a complete contrast to modern Tel Aviv; Visit the old city and walk along the restored artist’s quarter filled with galleries, studios, wonderful shops, beautiful handcrafted jewelry and fine art. Drive around the main streets of Tel Aviv the center of business and entertainment in Israel with its wide variety of theaters and galleries. Stop at Rabin’s Square where the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin took place on Nov 4th, 1995.

Depart Tel Aviv and drive north along the coastal plain to Caesarea. Herod the Great built this city and named it in honor of Caesar Augustus and it became the capital of Judea under the Romans. Cornelius, a Roman officer, was converted to Christianity in Caesarea (Acts 10:1, 24). Visit the ancient city, the Roman theater, and exit through the crusade gate. “And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him” (Acts 21:8). Continue to Megiddo identified as the site of Armageddon “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (Rev 16:16). Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, King Solomon gate, and the well-preserved water supply system.

Drive to the beautiful port city of Haifa nestled on the Mediterranean Sea for a panoramic view from Mt. Carmel where the crowning event of Elijah’s ministry took place. Elijah the prophet challenged the prophets of Baal to a contest on the Mount: “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him” (1 Kings 18:21).

Visit the world famous Persian Baha’i Gardens, then drive to Acre; walk along the old harbor and visit the local market. Acre is composed of many different buildings and today is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This city offers an exciting journey back in time to the crusader era and is home to a mosque, Christian monastery, Turkish Baths, archeological sites and the halls constructed by the Templar knights.

Ebenezer – Mentioned by the Books of Samuel as the scene of battles between the Israelites and Philistines.

Tel Afek (Antipatris) – According to the New Testament, the Apostle Paul spent the night there on his way under guard from Jerusalem to Caesarea.

The Stella Maris Monastery – the place where groups of religious hermits began to inhabit the caves of this area in imitation of Elijah the Prophet.
