Namaste ! Welcome to Nepal in Tamang land, in Langtang region. Although they are not as well known and popular as the Everest Base camp trek or the Annapurna circuit trek. But, these two treks offers you a number of distinct advantages. The treks are north of the Kathmandu valley. So,both are easily accessible from Kathmandu. The Langtang trek
takes up to two weeks and leads to a glacier in the valley at the loop of Langtang Lirung close to the peak`s Base camp. Langtang Lirung (7245 metres) is visible to north of Kathmandu valley on clear days. The Langtang trek gives you the opportunity to get right in amongst the Himalayan peaks and to walk through remote and relatively unpopulated areas. The trail passes through Tamang and Tibetan villages and offers fine views of the Lanagtang Himalayan and Ganesh Himalayan range. The trek passes through comparatively, lightly populated and undeveloped ares, it is ascending from just 541 metres at Trishuli Bazzar to 3800 metres at kyanjin Gumba. The trail passes through an ever-changing climate and offers to the trekkers an exceptionally wide diversity of scenery and cultural areas.
The Helambu trek , on the other hand , The Helambu trek only takes a week , So it is ideal for people who do not have the time for one of the longer treks. The Helambu trek starts from Sundarijal at the eastern end of the Kathmandu valley and does not climb above 3500 metres . It makes a loop through the Sherpa populated Helambu region to the northeast kathmandu valley and only the first day`s walk is repeated on the return trip. The Sherpa people of the Helambu region are friendly and hospitable, just like their better known kinsfolk of the Everest , Solukhumbu region. In other ways , however, they are quite different from the Sherpa people from around the Mt Everest. The Sherpa women of Helambu region are renowned for their beauty. Thank you !
