And that's why I have a profund admiration about all they have done right here. Let's discover together the way they lived, buildt and defended their fortress. You will spent a wonderfull time walking along the streets of old Hermannstadt.
We will conquer the midleage fortress built by the saxons in the 12 century, starting our walk right at the gate of the 3-rd defens wall. We' ll see the guilts towers , the Thalia Hall, Schiller Square, General tunel, the Big Square with Brukenthal museum, catolic church, Haller house, Weidner house, Councilhouse and Counciltower, all this ancient buildings with their stories. Than we walk through the Little Square visiting the oldest farmacy in the city and the oldest house , the butchers store. We cross the liaresbridge to the Huet Place where we visit the oldest church in Sibiu, the evangelic church. After a time spent in the gothic church learning about its history we continue with Altemberg house, todays museum of history and Sebastian Hahn house, where the famouse Goldsmith lived. At the end of our tour we visit the romanian orthodox cathedral. We take than a little rest in the shadow of the oak trees in Astra park. You will allways have nice memories about Sibiu after such a visit.
