The architectural museum town of Koprivshtitsa
Koprivshtitsa is a museum town with characteristic Bulgarian Revival architecture, colourful houses (specific colours indicate the professions of the landlords) and several museums, including museum houses of several national heroes, two churches and the first Bulgarian school-with-grades’ building, the historic bridge. It is a good spot for learning about some critical moments, events, and personages of Bulgarian history from the second half of 19th century. However, you will mostly please your eyes and esthetic sense, as well as you lungs, a this gem is surrounded by breathtaking mature. Just relax and soak the spirit of the place. You can either have it as a your only destination or combine it with visiting other Sub-Balkan places such as Sopot and Karlovo for example.
