This morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to the ancient city of Caesarea built by Herod the Great and once the seat of Roman rule.

Visit the beautiful excavated Roman Theater echoing theatrical performances of long ago. Today, this theatre still serves as an unusual and spectacular venue for concerts and music festivals. You will also be able to view some of the most recent excavations including the newly uncovered hippodrome (a stadium used for chariot races, remember “Ben Hur”). A little way on, hugging the seashore, lies an aqueduct once used for conveying the city's water. Almost 1000 years ago, the Crusaders rebuilt and fortified part of the city.

Arrive in Zichron Ya'acov - one of the oldest Jewish settlements in the country and established by Baron Edmond (Benjamin) de Rothschild in 1882.

Walk along the beautifully restored city center and visit the house of Sara Aharonson whose family was involved in the Jewish underground. “NILI” which aided the British in their struggle to banish the Turks from Palestine. Her home reflects the life-style of the pioneers of that time.

Drive via Druze villages to visit Mukhraka, the Place of Sacrifice and the site of the contest between the Prophet Elijah and the priests of Baal, to see which god was greater. The contest, won by Elijah, brought about a revival of the peoples' faith in God. From this vantage point the beauty of the Lower Galilee and the Jezreel Valley can be seen.

Onwards to Daliat El Carmel, a Druze village situated in the heart of Mount Carmel. The village is 400 years old and the largest Druze village in Israel. Wander around the market with its colorful stores laden with rugs, wicker baskets, traditional clothing and pottery.

Drive via Haifa’s Panoramic Road from where you will be able to see the golden dome of the Bahai Shrine that is set amid beautiful gardens, and serves as a significant landmark of the city. On a clear day, you can see everything from the Haifa Bay to as far north as Mt Hermon, all the way across Israel.

Arrive in the beautiful harbor city of Haifa - capital of the north and one of Israel's main commercial ports. Haifa is also proud to be the nucleus of much of Israel's high technology research and industry.
