This part of the mountain has several trails of varying difficulty to choose from, all offering lots of nature and solitude. Optional short detours, to the top cable station, historic Table Mountain reservoirs as well as natural rock labyrinths. Half- or full-day variations available. Admire the majestic 'Apostles' before starting the more serious hike up the gorge. This will force you to stop and take in the panorama of the Atlantic Ocean, palm lined beach of Camps Bay, Lion's Head and Robben Island. On reaching the top discover the old cableway and railway and pose if you dare for a dramatic photo shot and mind blowing view of the city stretching out as far as Camps bay and Sea point beach makes it all worth it. The route is a combination of stunning views; the lush green vegetation with various wild flowers makes a wonderful distraction for all the effort.
