Gokyo Valley Trekking is a traditional trekking trail in the Everest region that blends in the natural beauty, adventure and diversity. Join the Gokyo Valley Trekking to explore around the marvelous turquoise water lakes and different side of the Himalayas not seen from the Everest Base Camp and the surrounding regions besides the glaciers and glacial rivers which also carries religious and cultural significance for the locals and forms the source of mighty and torrential Sapta Koshi River, the biggest river in Nepal.

Gokyo Valley Trekking takes you to the less popular yet more beautiful region which is natural, ecological and religious importance to the locals and visitors alike. The journey begins with the exploration of the ancient, cultural and historical heritages of Kathmandu valley including the Newari culture, tradition and lifestyle that has been in existence since ages. After that, the flight of around 35 minutes takes you to the beautiful Lukla Airport. Following the company of the mighty Dudh Koshi River and enjoying the view of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam and other peaks that overlooks our trekking trail, we trek through several villages and the floral, faunal diversity of Sagarmatha National Park to reach the buzzing city of Namche Bazaar. Afterwards we take on the less travelled paths we wander on the trail through settlements of Dole and Machhermo before the beautiful Gokyo valley welcomes us. After exploring the Gokyo village, one of the highest settlements in the world, ascending the Gokyo ridge and witnessing marveling scenarios we return from the valley. The awesome Ngozumba glacier, allows you to enjoy the huge panorama of Gokyo Peak. The view with the glacier of Ngozumpa provides us a perfect setting of every needs of your heart wants. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8511m), Cho Oyu (8153m) and Makalu (8463m) are the five highest mountains seen from here. The view from this peak is more beautiful than from the iconic and more popular Kala Patthar in the Everest region. The return journey from Gokyo valley is a leisurely trek through Lukla and Namche to return back to Kathmandu. Intermittently, we also trek past Buddhist monasteries and prayer wheels, suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags and other cultural symbols.
