Language English, Russian
Price 120,00 USD for excursion
Capacity 10 persons max
Duration 3 hours

The tragedy of Russian revolution began in St. Petersburg, that bore the name of Petrograd between 1914-1924.

In Russian history, it is customary to subdivide the revolution into two periods: February, when Emperor abdicated and the Provisional Government was established, and October socialist revolution, when the Bolsheviks (communists) came to power.

We begin with the Field of Mars, where the first clashes of February revolution took place, continue to see the square near the Finland railroad station, where Lenin arrived from emigration. We make stops to see the symbol of the revolution – cruiser Aurora, the Mansion of Krzesinskaya – once the bolsheviks’ headquarters, then continue to the famous Smolny – the bolsheviks’ headquarters during the October revolution.

In case you are interested to visit V. Lenin’s memorial rooms in Smolny this must booked well in advance (approx. 1 month), as Smolny is a governmental building today.

On the way to Smolny we see the Tavrida Palace, the seat of the Provisional Government and one of the former political prisons.

The price includes guide and car services.
