Patzcuaro Lakeshore Tour

Language English, Spanish
Cost 75 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity 1 person
Duration 8 hours

Populated by local Indian fishermen since mid-1200, the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro count over 20 little pueblos in which, most of the families are the descendant of the Purepecha people that developed and preserved their culture and traditions like the famous "Night of the Dead" (NOV 1st). Thanks to the fusion of ancestral handwork with organic/mineral materials & the tools and techniques brought here by Bishop Vasco de Quiroga, the Lakeshore of Patzcuaro has become an important area of handicraft production where it is easy to find woodwork, backstrap loomed rebozos, copperwork, furniture, lacquerwork with gold leaf incrustation, woven wool, embroidery on cotton shawls, tableware & blown glass, you name it, it's here! Note: Starts with 2 people in my car. It´s possible to customize tour to more than 3 people.
