The Benedictine order may be considered the savour of Christian Europe menaced by the fall of Rome (476 C.e). Their legendary discipline and talent for teaching is mostly evident in the capitals of churches and cloisters all over Europe. The one in Monreale are considered among the most achieved and beautiful in the world.
