The most important city of this long and narrow country, is still keeping some of its charm and elegance against all the events which had fought against to make her loose its natural beauty. No fire, after the native born attacks, no floods from the once mighty rivers enclosing its fertile valley, has caused her no leave the brightness of its constructions dated from the XIXth century, nor the effort of renewing what was torn down by constant earthquakes along its history.
