TRIP TO MERZOUGA FROM MARRAKECH
We would like to invite you in this 4 day to discover the breath-taking landscapes of Morocco and become more familiar with the traditions and warm-hearted hospitality of the Berber people
Take a break from the hectic city life in Marrakesh and discover the desert of Morocco.This is a tour of a lifetime, amazing landscape on our way to the desert and spending a night in the desert. The sunset is amazing, the starry sky at night – and then the sunrise over the desert in the morning.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Day 1: Marrakech -Ouarzazate
Early breakfast and check-out to start the adventure! We cross the Atlas Mountains, having breathtaking scenery on the way. At lunch time we will arrive at Ait Ben haddou, the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. There will be time to explore the fortified village (ksar), which is a great example of earthen clay architecture. Films like ‘Gladiator’, ‘Marco Polo’, ‘Son of God’ and many more have been shot here. We continue our trip to Ouarzazate to visit the big film studio – Hollywood of Morocco! Overnight stay on half-board in a hotel out of town.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Merzouga
After breakfast we continue our way. Next stop is the visit of the famous Todgha Gorge (ravine). We will have lunch here and afterwards we will head straight on to the Merzouga desert, where the camels are already waiting to take us to the luxury camp. Climb on top of the dunes and enjoy the sunset! After dinner you can listen to the drums and the songs of the local staff under the starry sky! A magical experience! We will spend the night in a luxury tents, all equipped with private shower and WC. (For those who prefer – it is also possible to go by 4X4 to the camp.)Overnight stay on half-board.
Day 3: Merzouga- Dades
If you want to admire the sunrise in the desert, you have to wake up early and climb on top of the dunes. It is really worth to get up early! After breakfast you can try sand-boarding down the dunes. And then we have to return on camel (or in 4X4) to continue our trip by minibus. On our way to today’s destination – Dades Valley, we will stop at a camel farm, where you have the opportunity to taste some camel milk. Lunch will be en-route.
Overnight stay on half-board.
Day 4:Dades – Marrakech
Today we return to Marrakech. Our way leads us through the Valley of Roses, where you can optionally visit a Rose Cooperative. Lunch en-route.
Arrival at Marrakech at about 6 pm, depending on the stops on the way. Check-In at your accommodation.
