The Area of Montmartre is famous for being the arty neighbourhood of Paris. It has been the birthplace of Impressionism, Cubism and Surrealism. Such artists as Dégas, Cézanne, Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, whose artworks can be seen nowadays in the Musée d'Orsay, all came to Montmartre to create. Nowadays, everybody still loves Montmartre because of its beautiful hill top, with a breathtaking view over Paris, small streets made of cobblestones, cute quiet squares with cafés, typical shops and countryside atmosphere.

I am an art historian and I am passionate about Montmartre. I will show you this fantastic area and share with you its artistic history.
