Over the course of this two-week adventure you’ll get to experience Kenya’s finest parks up close plus the immense sweep of Tanzania’s Serengeti. From the iconic Masai Mara to the world famous Ngorongoro volcanic crater, from Lake Naivasha to Lake Victoria, you will journey through the richest landscapes of Africa while encountering literally hundreds of species of wildlife.

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

Touching down in Nairobi, you will be met by one of our representative who will pick you up and be whisked to the Nairobi Serena Hotel for check in. You will have a short brief of what will unfold the next day. Overnight at the Nairobi Serena Hotel Meal Plan Bed and Breakfast.

Day 2: Nairobi Transfer to Samburu

You will be picked at 8a.m from your Nairobi hotel and be transferred Samburu arriving in time for early lunch. Arrive in time for lunch, you will have your first afternoon game drive in Samburu National Park. Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.

Overnight: At Samburu Shaba Luxury Lodge

Day 3: Samburu Full day

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve to Ol Pejeta

Conservancy - Sweetwaters, Kenya

We leave Samburu Game Reserve and depart for Mount Kenya region at Laikipia region for afternoon game drive. We will enjoy an afternoon game viewing in this largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa. Ol Pejeta Conservancy houses the three remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world. Sudan, the world’s last male Northern White Rhino, aged 45, died at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya on 19th March 2018. Sudan was being treated for age-related complications that led to degenerative changes in muscles and bones combined with extensive skin wounds. His condition worsened significantly in the last 24 hours; he was unable to stand up and was suffering a great deal. The veterinary team from the Dvur Kralove Zoo, Ol Pejeta and Kenya Wildlife Service made the decision to euthanize him.

The Conservancy is host to the Big Five game among a large selection of other African animals which makes it a popular safari destination. Dinner and overnight at Serena Sweetwaters Camp, Kongoni Camp

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Sweetwaters to Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya

We have our early morning breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via Thomson’s Falls where we stop for scenic views of waterfalls. We proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park often referred to as the pink lake due to its enormous numbers of Flamingos. The lake is host to the black and white rhino species, warthog, lion, zebra, giraffe and many more. There shall be guaranteed encounters of the endangered Black and White Rhino species. Lunch is served at the camp or hotel followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at either Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha, Kenya

Our Day 6 starts with morning breakfast and proceed for morning game drive at Lake Nakuru. We later drive to Lake Naivasha for our midmorning boat ride to watch the hippos and other animals in the lake. Lake Naivasha has numerous Optional activities available; you may Take a Boat Ride to Crescent Island Game Park. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

After our morning breakfast, we embark on our road passing the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as we head across the valley to Narok. We continue with our journey across acres of wheat and barley, before reaching our next game viewing destination in the world most famous Masai Mara which plays host to the world greatest natural spectacle, the greatest dramatic wildebeest migration on earth which happens from July through October every year. We arrive at the camp or lodge and have lunch at leisure before embarking on a thrilling evening game drive in one of the finest wildlife havens on earth. We then return back to the camp where it is time for dinner.

Day 8: Masai Mara, Kenya

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the parks mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, both the Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. Optional hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. On this final day in the Mara, you also have an opportunity to visit an authentic Masai village. Dinner and Overnight at either Mara Serena Safari Lodge, Keekorok Lodge, Mara Simba Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

The wildebeest remain in the Mara between October and November. Between December and January, the wildebeest gradually begin their migration back towards Serengeti plains in Tanzania.

Day 9: Masai Mara, Kenya

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza! The Mara as is popularly known remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and varied concentration of wild animals than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of this tree studded Savannah plains, its moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities. We shall traverse the reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.

Day 10: Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti national park via Dabaka gate arriving in time for lunch at Serengeti Serena Lodge or similar – lunch at then proceed for evening game drives coming back to the Lodge late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 11: Serengeti National Park

Departing in the morning, you drive west game viewing through the western corridor of the Serengeti to the Central region of Seronera. wildebeest in Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous.

Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back.

The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabit. Day 12: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park later on we return back to the lodge for breakfast. We check out of the lodge and drive to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Located between the Serengeti and Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the famous volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and one of Tanzania’s most popular wildlife viewing areas. This huge volcanic crater has a permanent supply of water which draws all kinds of animals who stay in this area rather than migrating.

Visitors come here primarily for viewing large game and bird watching, but also of interest in the conservation area is the Olduvai Gorge. This important archeological site has revealed ancient skull and bone fragments that have delivered critical information about early mankind.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: You can visit Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee payable direct to the museum.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater Floor - Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

Early morning breakfast then we descend to the Crater Floor with picnic lunch for game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact ancient caldera in the world, nearly three million years old. The Ngorongoro volcano was one of the world’s tallest mountains before it exploded and collapsed. Thousands of wild game can be seen on the crater floor, including lions, elephants, rhinos, Thomson’s gazelles, and buffaloes, but wildebeests and zebras account for over half of the animals that call the Ngorongoro Crater home.

Bird watching is superb, especially around Lake Magadi, which attracts flocks of flamingos to the shallows. Hippos are content to submerge themselves during the day and then graze in the nearby grass in the evening.

After exploring the crater, we have lunch at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp a Hippo pool. Thereafter we continue with game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Tarangire National Park Lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 14: Tarangire National Park - Arusha, Tanzania

Early morning breakfast we drive to Tarangire National Park for morning game drive. Tarangire National Park is a beautiful and special park in Northern Tanzania. It is famous for its high density of elephants exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti.

The park displays a diverse number of wildlife namely Python, lion and leopard climb trees lounging in the branches, African buffalo, lesser and great kudu, cheetah, fringe-eared Oryx, Maasai giraffe, spotted hyena, common zebra, white-bearded wildebeest, warthog, eland, olive baboon, bat-eared fox, impala, common waterbuck, bushbuck, coke hartebeest, gerenuk and bohor reedbuck.

Over 550 bird species have been recorded here making a sure pleasure for any bird lover. Baobab trees are most common here. Thereafter we have lunch and leave the Park viewing our last game while we drive back to Arusha.

You will be dropped either at Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your home bound flight home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch
