The centerpiece of this Bhutan Rafting Tour is two days spent rafting the outstanding Class II and IV rapids on the Po Chu and Mo Chu rivers east of Punakha. Rafting is a new concept in Bhutan; however, its wild rivers ensure that it has the potential for some of the best white water river rafting on earth. Amazing vegetation and wildlife along the rafting route provide an inspiring accompaniment to this incredible adventure.
This tour also explores the highlights of Bhutan’s culturally rich western valleys of Paro, Punakha, and Thimphu visiting ancient fortresses, temples, monasteries, and farmhouses and meeting with the hospitable locals. Highlights include the Ta Dzong Museum, Taktsang Monastery, Punakha Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Temple, and the beautiful Phobjikha Valley where you will find beautiful meadows, forests, villages, and sacred monasteries.
