Ama Yangri Trek – 6 Days Overview
Ama Yangri Trek is one of the shortest treks from Kathmandu, yet the most beautiful peak is located in the Helambu region, Sindupalchok. Ama Yangri is one of the holy peaks at 3771m from sea level. Ama Yangri is also known as Poonhill of Helambu region and Ama Jyomoyangri locally. The word Ama Yangri is a combination of two sacred words, “Ama” (Mother) and Yangri (Goddess). “ Ama Yangri is the deity of the Helambu region that protects people and places from evil.
Throughout the journey, you will travel through gorgeous routes. These routes will take you through deep forests, quaint villages, and terraced farms. The highlight of the trek is reaching the top of Ama Yangri. From there, you will enjoy panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks. Some of these peaks include Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Jugal Himal.
