Pochampally is best known for its world-famous ikat designs and dress materials. Popularly called as the ikat or tie and dye weave, the uniqueness of Pochampally fabric lies in the transfer of design and colouring onto warp, for weaving them deftly together. It is also famous for its silk sarees.

The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has selected Telangana’s Pochampally village as one of the Best Tourism Villages in the world. The village is renowned for its handloom waved Ikat sarees. The village of Pochampally is situated just 50 km away from the city of Hyderabad.
