Day 1

ARRIVAL AT JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NBO)

Arrive at JKIA and be received by our office representatives who assist you in the clearing, loads your luggage into a van and drives you to a city hotel booked on a bed and breakfast. Depending on the time of arrival you can choose to get involved in optional activities in Nairobi such as a visit to Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick orphanage Karen Blixen Museum or a guided city walk or tour with a guide. Or choose to relax in your hotel awaiting safari the following day.

Day 2

NAIROBI – MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer by road to Meru National Park arriving in our camp or lodge in time for lunch. After lunch go for the first game drive in Meru National Park. Return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast explore meru National Park in a full day game drive. Opt to return to the camp for lunch or carry packed lunch. Meru National Park is wild and beautiful. Straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams, it is an especially beautiful area of Kenya. This is a pity, because it has all the essential ingredients for a classic safari destination, with some fine accommodation, excellent prospects for seeing lions and rhinos, and a landscape that incorporates Hemingway-esque green hills, arid, Tsavo-like savannah and fast-flowing streams bordered by riverine forests, baobab trees and doum palms. The advantage of being one of Kenya's best-kept secrets is plain to see – you're likely to have much of it all to yourself. Return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

:MERU NP – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart by road to Samburu Game Reserve located on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro Rriver on the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve in Northern Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch at our camp or lodge. Relax before heading out for your first game drive at Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is reach in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the Miracle Lioness that adapted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded. Birds of the arid northern bush country are augmented by a number of riverine forest species. Lesser Kestrel and the Taita Falcon are species of global conservation concern and they both utilize the reserve. Five species categorized as vulnerable have recorded in the reserve. These are African Darter, Great Egret, White-headed Vulture, Martial Eagle and the Yellow-billed Ox-pecker. Critically endangered species under CITIES – Pancake tortoise (malacochersus tornieri) is found in the reserve.

Day 5

SAMBURU - ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

Pre - breakfast game drive in search of more preditors and also in an attempt to capture a wonderful sunrise from Samburu Park. Return to the camp or lodge for breakfast and prepare ro leave for our todays destination, Aberdare National Park where we arrive at Aberdares Country Club in time for lunch. After lunch relax taking a a cup of tea awaiting transfer to The Ark Lodge strategically insude the Aberdares National Park where you will spend the rest of your stay while at Aberdare. Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. So that you don’t miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole. The Ark has four viewing areas for observing the ever-present animal activity.

Day 6

ABERDARE NP - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Have breakfast, Later proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. There shall be a stop to view the scenic Thompson falls at Nyahururu. Then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park located in the floor of the Rift Valley. We arrive at the park, and have a short game drive en route to our lodge where we arrive just in time for Lunch. Relax till late afternoon time to go out for a game drive in the beautiful Lake Nakuru Ntional Park. Its well known amongst the bird lovers with hundred and thousands of Fuschia pink flamingoes and other water birds witnessed when climatic conditions are most favorable. The park also has Rothchilds Giraffe a rare and endangered species of Giraffe, lions, cheetah, zebras, buffalos, waterbucks, hyenas, leopard and a healthy population of the endangered black rhinos. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.

Day 7

NAKURU - MASAI MARA

After breakfast leave with a short game drive en route to our next destination, Masai Mara. to arrive at the camp or lodge in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drives in Masai Mara follow and when evening strikes we return to our lodge or camp for dinner. Spend the rest of the evening by the bonffire being entertained by Masai people till time to go to bed.

Day 8

MASAI MARA

Explore Masai Mara in a full day game drive. Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Africa. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October). On this day you can plan to undertake extra activities like Balon safaris or a visit to Masai village to learn about the culture.

Day 9

MARA - NAIROBI

Pre - breakfast game drive in search of more preditors and also in an attempt to capture a wonderful sunrise from Masai Mara. Return to the camp or lodge for breakfast and prepare to leave for Nairobi. Lunch on this day will be en route. Arrive in late afternoon and be dropped at the hotel, residence or Airport to catch a flight to your next destination.
