Mtskheta was the capital of the Eastern Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the third century BC and is one of the oldest towns and the cultural and religious center of Georgia. Here you can visit the ancient Georgian Orthodox monastery Jvari and enjoy the magnificent view where the two rivers confluence to each other.
