Drive to or meet in Bergama (ancientPregamum).Start your tour with the Acropolis with its magnificent view and walk through the ruins to see The temple of Trajan, the remnants of the ancient library and the temple of Athena. Walk down into the theatre and visit what remains from the Altar of Zeus, which was one of the master pieces of Hellenistic period.
After the Acropolis, The Red Basilica is waiting for you with its splendid exterior. From here, drive to the museum to see finds and artifacts from Pergamum and nearby towns. After a beautiful lunch, what awaits you is the famous Asclepion, the ancient hospital of the city which hosted Galenus-a physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman Empire.
