To say the truth, about 60 % of all my tours within Moldova are to Transnistria. This self-proclaimed country attracts thousand of curious people every year and it is called the” last soviet country” in Europe. The very complicated social situation within Eastern Europe made Transnistria declare independence from Moldova in 1990, but no country recognized that.
Anyway, until today, this region has its own currency, Government, President, and so on.
It is absolutely safe destination to travel and I bring my tourists there for more than 5 years.
It is worth visiting for sure!
