Details:

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO FORTPORTAL TOURISM CITY.Drive to Fort portal takes you through typical Ugandan villages, roadside markets, tea plantations, beautiful sceneries. The plan is to arrive in Fort portal early with a possibility of lunch stopover in Fort portal to taste to local cousin of this beautiful city on the foot of the mountains of the moon.Proceed to the crater lakes area in the Nkuruba nature reserve is Nkuruba lakeside resort where you will stay for the next two nights. Accommodation:  Nkuruba lakeside resort

DAY2: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING KIBALE FOREST & TRANSFER TO RWENZORI MOUNTAINS.For the next 7 days embark on a hike to the top of the mountains of the moon in fact we use the central circuit trail and this hike takes a total of seven days four up three down. Goes through various vegetation cover up to the top of Margarita peak the highest point on Uganda’s famous mountain Rwenzori national park. Hike heads to Bujuku valley over the Scott Elliot path to the stunning Kitandara lakes then over fresh field path into the Mubuku valley to Margarita peak. night at Ruboni community camp for in preparation for the hike. Accommodation: Ruboni community camp.

DAY3: RWENZORI HIKE STARTS Briefing about the hike after hike starts from Nyakalengija through the Bakonzo settlements to mount Rwenzori national park gate where you will be registered before entering the park. this central circuit trail starts from a thick tropical forest with high elephant grass and dense bushes home to various wildlife say the forest elephants, chimpanzees, hyrax, black and white colobus monkeys, duiker, three horned chameleons, L’hoest monkey to mention but a few. Birds here include the handsome francolin, Rwenzori turaco, long eared owl, strange weaver, Rwenzori batis to mention but a few. This is about 8km hike to the Nyabitaba hut from where we will rest for a meal and overnight.

DAY4: RWENZORI HIKE FROM NYABITABA TO JOHN MATTE HUT.From Nyabitaba to john matte hut. After breakfast we live Nyabitaba for John Matte hut through thick shrubs and forests for about 30 minutes to the Kurt Shafer bright which is at the confluence of Mubuku and Bujuku rivers. You will then move through the bamboo mixed with montane forests and slippery moss-covered rocks for a couple of hours. As you hike also expect to see various bird species that live in the forest. You will continue up to Nyamuleju rock shelter where the first hikers used to at times camp and also spend the night, you will have a lunch stopover here with a view of Mount Stanley and mount Speak if the view is clear enough. Night at John Matte hut and dinner near river Bujuku where most hikers take a bath, from this point you have a view of Magharita glacier which is on Mount Stanley between Alexander and Magharita peaks distance to cover is about 11km.

DAY5: RWENZORI HIKE FROM JOHN MATTE HUT TO BUJUKU HUT.This is your 3rd day of the hike from John Matte hut up to Bujuku hut after your breakfast you will cross river Bujuku and through forest to lower bigo bog. this is a swampy area in the valley and is a home to the giant lobelias there are walk boards to make it easier for hikers in this boggy area. With a view of lake Bujuku, Mount Speke and sanely distance from John Matte hut to Bujuku is 5km, dinner and overnight at Bujuku.

DAY 6: RWENZORI HIKE FROM BUJUKU TO ELENA HUT.This is your fourth day of the Rwenzori Mountain hike from Bujuku to Elena hut. After breakfast hike to Elena hut for about 5-7 hours through sides of the upper bigo bog through steep slopes of lake Bujuku around 4372 meters Scott Eliot path and pass-through swamps and the thrilling ground gully going through a steep section at the top of the gully using a metal ladder. Elena hut is at the rocky part of Mount Stanley, Baker and Mount Speke. Diner and overnight at Elena hut.DAY7: RWENZORI HIKE FROM ELENA HUT TO KITANDARA HUT.Day 5 of your hike will be from Elena hut to Kitandara hut, Breakfast at Elena hut, ready in your warm gear, headlamps, helmet, sunglasses ready to hike to the top Margarita peak through the Stanley plateau on steep rocky areas with help of ropes. the guide will teach or demonstrate to you on how to use the equipment while on the ice. on the glacier parts you will be required to use crampons and ice axe. The most challenging part on your entire Rwenzori Mountain hike is when you reach the bottom of Margarita glacier through which you hike to the top 5109 meters. at the top you will have a view of Irene Lake, mount Speke, and the surrounding environment then descend to Elena hut for lunch and later proceed to Kitandara in the most beautiful point of Rwenzori. Dinner at Kitandara and overnight. If the group is big, you may spend the night at Elena hut and proceed the next day.

DAY8: RWENZORI HIKE KITANDARA HUT TO GUY YEOMAN HUTThis will be your Day 6 of the Rwenzori Mountain hike taking you from Kitandara hut to Guy Yeoman hut.After breakfast move through the base of mount Baker the path descends to the historic expedition by the Duke of Abruzzi in 1906 taking around 5hours then reach Guy Yeoman hut on the bunks of river Mubuku for dinner and overnight.

DAY9: LAST DAY OF THE RWENZORI & TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH PARKDay 7 from Guy Yeoman to Nyabitaba to Nyakalengija Finish.This is your last day and the hike will take around 5 hours to reach Nyabitaba hut for a stopover lunch then descend for more 3 hours to Nyakalengija back to your lodge and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park.Accommodation, Bush Lodge.

DAY10: GAMEDRIVE & BOAT QUEEN ELIZABETH NATONAL PARK.You will have a very early morning breakfast before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive, this is so because at this time you can have a chance to spot the cuts and hyenas when they are still active as they rarely hunt during the hot day. During this time, you have more chances of spotting lions and leopards.In the afternoon the animals are moving to the water source for a drink that’s why you will do a 2-hour boat safari from where you can see big herds of buffalos, elephants, hippos, Nile crocodiles on the water of the 36km Kazinga channel which connects lake George to lake Edward. After back for an overnight at your lodge.DAY 11: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA/ENTEBBE. END OF TOUR.Depending on your flight time, you can relax at your lodge /hotel or visit the local gift shops to have yourself souvenirs to as physical memories of your tour of Uganda.
