Customs of Uzbek hospitality
Our meeting will begin in the cozy house of Samarkand - according to all the rules of Uzbek hospitality. We’ll meet the welcoming hostess, and then we’ll have a little rest and a little chat about hot green tea. The guide will tell you what is the peculiarity of the cuisine of Uzbekistan, what are the interesting local drinking habits, what ingredients and spices are used most often and what dishes we have to prepare.
Manti, Samsa and Bischak: cook and eat!
The mistress of the house at this time will prepare the necessary ingredients for the master class, and in the process will share the secrets of each dish. Together with her you will prepare the sweetest mantas, juicy samsa and fragrant bicacks - Uzbek cakes:
For mantas roll the finest dough, gently wrap it with fresh chopped meat and send the dish to cook steamed in manta-kazan;
for samsa we will work with laminated dough and take meat with spices;
And then we’ll put them in the oven and the bicacks: in the spring and summer we’ll make herbal cakes, and in the cold, pumpkin cakes.
And when our fragrant dinner is ready, we will sit behind the dastarhan to enjoy the results of our culinary job!
