Dimaniyat Island

Designated a Nature Reserve by the Omani government in 1996, Daymaniyat Island is a haven for conservation. The reserve is home to and an important nesting site for many sea turtle species. From May through October, Daymaniyat Island is closed to visitors to safeguard the nesting turtles and migratory birds that use the island as a crucial stopover. This period of protection ensures that these incredible creatures can thrive without disturbance, contributing to the island’s rich biodiversity.
