Tour Highlights

1. Jamdani Saree Weaving Village Visit a traditional Jamdani weaving village and watch skilled artisans hand-weave one of Bangladesh's most famous textiles. You'll have the opportunity to see how these beautiful sarees are created using techniques passed down through generations of weaving families.

2. Panam Nagar (The Lost City): Explore the historic streets of Panam Nagar, one of Bangladesh's most remarkable heritage sites. Founded in the 13th century, it became a prosperous trading center before declining after the capital moved from Sonargaon. During the British colonial period, wealthy Hindu merchants revived the town, making it an important hub for the cotton textile trade. Following the Partition of India and the 1964 riots, Panam Nagar was abandoned, leaving behind a fascinating collection of colonial-era buildings.

3. Sonargaon Folk Art & Craft Museum Established by renowned Bangladeshi artist Zainul Abedin in 1975, the museum showcases Bangladesh's rich folk heritage. Discover traditional crafts, rural lifestyle displays, miniature country boats, historical artifacts, and beautiful architectural details that reflect the country's artistic traditions.

4. Baro Sardar Bari: Visit this elegant colonial-era mansion, one of the finest historic residences in Sonargaon. Built on the remains of an earlier Muslim settlement, it is an excellent example of Bangladesh's architectural heritage.

5. Riverside Village Experience: Enjoy a peaceful visit to a beautiful riverside village, where you can experience authentic rural life, scenic landscapes, and the natural beauty of the Bangladeshi countryside.
