Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our Jossec Safaris representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Take time to relax after your journey, or explore Nairobi at your own pace. You can opt for a short city tour or visit local attractions like the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum (at an extra cost).

Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru – Discover Flamingos & Rhinos
After an early breakfast, depart in a 4x4 safari jeep towards Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Arriving by midday, check in and have lunch before setting off on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is a paradise for bird watchers, with thousands of flamingos coloring the lake’s shores. Keep your camera ready for black and white rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and leopards. After an exciting game drive, return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara – Big Five Adventure Begins

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive, searching for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. The vast savannahs and golden sunsets make this an unforgettable experience. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Viewing in Maasai Mara
Today is dedicated to a full-day safari in Maasai Mara, with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore the heart of the reserve, where cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest roam freely. Visit the Mara River, home to crocodiles and hippos, and witness nature at its best. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, consider an optional hot air balloon safari ($450 per person) to witness the park from above. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha – Horseback Safari
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in the afternoon. Later, relax at your lodge, enjoying the serene views of the lake.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi – Departure
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading back to Nairobi. You can choose to visit Hell’s Gate National Park for a short nature walk or cycling safari (optional). Arrive in the city, where our team will drop you at your hotel or airport for your departure. This marks the end of an unforgettable adventure with Jossec Safaris.
