Day 1: Nairobi – Sweetwaters Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Nairobi
Your journey begins early in the morning with pickup from your Nairobi hotel at 6:00 AM. After a short briefing by Jossec Safaris’ team, you’ll embark on a scenic drive towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, passing through lush landscapes and the rolling foothills of Mount Kenya.
Upon arrival, you’ll start your day with a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a remarkable rehabilitation center that provides a haven for rescued chimpanzees. Learn about their rescue stories and conservation efforts dedicated to protecting these intelligent primates.
Next, head to the black rhino sanctuary, where you’ll have a chance to spot these magnificent creatures in their protected habitat. Ol Pejeta is home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world, making it a crucial conservation site.
