Day 1: Explore the Giraffe Centre & Leisure Time at Galleria Mall

Your Jossec Safaris driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel in a comfortable vehicle, ensuring a smooth and scenic ride to the Giraffe Centre. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by towering Rothschild giraffes, which you can feed directly from your hand while standing on an observation deck. A knowledgeable guide will share insights about their conservation and the role of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW) in protecting these graceful animals. Keep an eye out for the resident warthogs (affectionately called "Pumbas") that freely roam the area.

Next, you’ll get a glimpse of the famous Giraffe Manor, a world-renowned boutique hotel where giraffes frequently poke their heads through the windows to join guests for breakfast. Though access is limited to hotel guests, you can admire the beautiful exterior and snap some photos. If you love nature, take an optional guided walk along the scenic Gogo River, home to various bird species, monkeys, and other small wildlife.

After your visit, we’ll head to Galleria Mall, where you can browse souvenir shops, local craft stores, and enjoy a coffee break at one of the cozy cafés. Once you’re satisfied with your shopping and relaxation, we’ll drive you back to your hotel, marking the end of this short but memorable wildlife encounter.
