This private journey connects the origins of Portugal with the living landscape of the Douro Valley.

The day begins in Guimarães, widely recognised as the birthplace of the nation. A focused and elegant walk through the historic centre introduces the foundation of Portuguese identity. The exterior of the castle and the Paço dos Duques provide architectural and political context, while the medieval streets reveal how the early kingdom took shape.

From Guimarães, the route moves east toward Vila Real for a refined yet authentic lunch stop in a respected local restaurant.

The afternoon unfolds in the Douro Valley.

The transition into the region is gradual: scenic viewpoints, terraced vineyards, and winding river roads create a layered visual experience before arriving at a carefully selected family-run wine estate.

The visit includes:

This is not a commercial group visit, but a curated rural encounter in the heart of the valley.

Depending on timing and conditions, additional scenic stops may be incorporated before returning to Porto.
