I'm Ercan from Boston, Massachusetts. I've been living here with my family since 2014. Before that, I worked as a professional tour guide for almost 13 years in Turkey & and Europe. I've guided nearly 50,000 people from all around the world in English and Portuguese, including private, student, and group tours throughout my career. I studied Portuguese in Florianopolis, Brazil, for 8 months. While there, I met many people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and shared my knowledge with them while learning something new from them. For a few years, I also led and organized tours in Europe. Every tour has taught me something different, helping me to be a better tour guide who meets people's needs and expectations.
I love history, and right now, I am here in Boston, excited to share & show people my beautiful city, with its rich history and local tips. I am a very social person; I love talking to people, showing them around local areas, trying local food, and sharing stories about the city, which many guidebooks might not mention. I love good local food such as Boston Cream Pie, baked beans, clam chowder, lobster roll, codfish, and cold beer, and I also know where to find the best in Boston.
Boston offers so much more than history. Culture, architecture, food, sports, shopping areas, Brahmins, mobsters, and great restaurants. It's also known as an excellent place for higher education with many colleges and universities. My life partner is a faculty member in Boston, so I have inside knowledge of universities and colleges here in Massachusetts.
I can customize your tour based on your needs and also provide a livery-insured commercial car service if needed for a driving tour around the city. I lead walking tours of the Freedom Trail in Boston and driving tours in the Boston area, including Cambridge, Plymouth, and Cape Cod.
