5 days Sahara desert trip
This is the best desert exploratory trip in Morocco. in these 5 days you will discover the superior part in Morocco starting from the red city crossing over the Atlas Mountains to the other dry side of Morocco to entertain the most ranked activities in Morocco, such as camel ride, night in tradional tents, and test locals life. after that we will bring you back to the green side of Morocco.
Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Boumalne Dades
Departing from Marrakech crossing the high Atlas via the Tizi n-Tichka Pass (2260 m/alt) with many stops to take pictures of the outstanding Berber villages, then get to the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah recognized by UNISCO as a world heritage site since 1986, and it is a distinctive location for filming national / international movies such as Gladiator, Game of thrones, Babel… After having lunch in a local restaurant we will head to Dades via Ourzazate crossing the roses valley of Imgoune city nicknamed the capital of roses get to the hotel at the afternoon.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades, todra gorge – Dakar rourte – Ramlia
The day will start by driving toward the heart of the Sahara Desert via the Titan canyons of Tinghir city named by local people Todra gorges, after that we will drive in the black Hamada desert off-road that consists of high, largely barren, hard, rocky plateaus, with very little sand because this has been removed by deflation. After having a picnic in a shadow of an acacia tree we will drive via Ouasis Mharech crossing the Ghris valley to get to our inn before the sunset.
Day 3: Ramlia – khamlia – Merzouga
After breakfast in the auberge we will drive to visit the Ouasis of Ramlia village and take a look of the underground irrigation system that they use to irrigate their fields, and have a cup of tea in a Berber house of the village, then we will drive crossing the Ziz valley to visit nomads and have a cup of tea again before heading to khamlia village to have Berber pizza for lunch, and enjoy the music of the black people brought from central and west Africa as slaves converting the Berber culture and language, in the afternoon we will get to the guest house where we will ride our camels from to the camp to spend un unforgettable night sleeping in the tent between sand-dune enjoying the stars, sunset and sunrise.
Day4: Merzouga – Rissani – anti Atlas Mountain – Ouarzazate
After taking pictures of the sunrise from the next highest dune to the camp you will ride you camels back to the guest house to take a shower and have breakfast then drive to Ouarzazate city via rissani known by its Market days (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) where you can see a market of donkeys, ship goats and cows in addition to the market of the date. After taking a look of the market we will head to have lunch in N’koub village from lunch and crossing the Anti Atlas Mountain and getting to the Hollywood of Africa (Ouarzazate) overnight in the Hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Marrakech
After having breakfast in the hotel we will drive to take pictures of Taourirt Kasbah and a building which is originally was a synagogue and become a cinema museum where Bibel movie took place, then take pictures of the largest cinema studio in Morocco where many films took place like Lawrence of Arabia. Later on we will drive back to Marrakech via Tichka pass end of your tour.
