4D & 3N trekking Lasta mountains & Lalibela churches

I will wait you within your NAME at Lalibela airport then drive to Lalibela town, it is 25km just within spectacular scenery and landscape.

From  Lalibela  directly you will start your trekking tour.

Very soon Lalibela stretches underneath your feet and you are already in the beautiful LASTA MOUNTAINS.

After around 3hrs you will reach the first plateau above ABI JACULA called MERABARBU.

There you will have a nice and well- deserved longer stop including some snacks and fruits.

The trek continues to the next plateau called AD MEHANE ALEM (ATABKIT),

You will reach it after around 2 hours.

Till now ALL of our customers love this special spot very much since you already have such a great view into the Ethiopian Highlands underneath you.

From Ad Medhane Alem (Atabkit) you now will continue to walk towards the AD MEDHANE ALEM VILLAGE, NEAR ASTABIR, and your 'home' for tonight. 

Day -2 

After breakfast trek to Abune Yosef Eco Lodge on WEDEBIYE ABO, close to the village called TIGU KEBELE.

You will have lunch and later we will take you to the SMALL and BIG ZIGGIT, beautiful peaks of the area, and highest mountain here, called RIM GEDEL (4284m above sea-level)

The night you will spend in Abune Yosef Eco Lodge.

Day -3 

 After  breakfast trekking back to Lalibela, through the still working mountain monastery church called ASHETEN MARYAM, home for some monks and nuns, living some sort of hermit life there. 

You will reach Lalibela around 3pm.

              Overnight  ;- Harbe Hotel Lalibela 

  Day -4 

   Early morning we will attend Sunday church service at the biggest church of Lalibela at Bet Medhane Alem just to assure you still the churches are active for 900years. 

After  breakfast  we will drive to sits where we find a concentration of some of Ethiopia most famous Rock hewn churches, mostly referred by many as " the living wonders of the world " this churches are they have been here for at list 900 years, an active christen shrine, spiritual center of the country religious life.

Then we will visit  some churches from Northwestern Clusters  this group contains, Bet Medhane Alem ,Bet Maryam, Bet Mikael &Golgotha; 

continue to visit  some  churches from  Southeastern Cluster of Lalibela churches – Bet Gabriel-Rufael and Bet Emanuel 

Finally, visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, a huge monolithic in the shape of a cross, and constructed in honor of St. George, the patron saint of Ethiopia

At the end of the tour we will drive to Lalibela airport for your flight to Addis Ababa
