4 Days of Sippi Falls & Coffee Tour -Eastern Uganda
Day 1 - Arrival in Entebbe
On your morning arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. The name Entebbe literally translates to “seat” since it was the seat of government before independence. The city is set on the shores of Lake Victoria. Check in and go on a cultural discovery tour to visit one of the most historic sites dedicated to the original Buganda peoples, the Kasubi Tombs. This traditional structure is recognized as a World Heritage Site and is the burial ground for the Buganda Royal Family. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Ndere Cultural Centre to learn more about the diversity of Ugandan culture with dance, music, & drama. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 – Source of the Nile to Sipi Falls
Have breakfast and then drive off to Jinja. En route, you will drive through Mabira Forest then head to Jinja where the Nile begins its flow to the Mediterranean Sea. Visit the Source of the Nile then continue to Sipi. After check-in explore the Sipi Falls which flows over the foothills of Mount Elgon, forming a spectacular series of waterfalls, some nearly 100m high, surrounded by village walking trails and lush green coffee-producing hills. The hike takes about 2.5 hours and makes a great afternoon (evening). The views are breath-taking. Return for dinner. Overnight at Sipi River Lodge [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]
Day 3 – Coffee Experience
The base of Mount Elgon is particularly famous for Bugisu Arabica Coffee produced and grown by the local farmers. Bugisu Arabica only grows at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,900 metres; it is the main cash crop in the area and genuinely one of the finest coffees in the world. Visit a coffee farm and get to know the story of coffee from seed to cup. In this tour, you will meet the local farmers to tour their plantation and learn about the life cycle of the crop and their role in the process after which you will visit and tour the local processing plant to see the selected green beans before it gets exported. Finally, you will learn the traditional art of removing the husks, roasting your own coffee beans and produce a fresh cup of coffee ready for instant consumption. Day 4 – Departure to Entebbe
Have an early morning breakfast then depart to Entebbe. Upon arrival in Entebbe, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
